Original Victorian Marble Surround

On offer here is an original victorian marble surround in extraordinary condition having been restored in our workshops to a high standard. This surround is made from Gris Sainte Anne marble which was quarried primarily in Belgium and France before being depleted in the early 1900’s.

A stunning marble highly sought after for its warmth and masculine characteristics, its intrigue centring around the contrasting tones of grey with white veins and multitudes of fossils throughout. 

Likely manufactured in England and transported to Melbourne in a tall ship during the mid 1800’s it is now ready for its next chapter in your home as both a stunning talking piece and historical feature.
